Product description
Biothane Tracking Line 5 meters – Maximum Freedom for Training & Adventure
Do you want to give your dog more freedom of movement without completely losing control? Then the Punq Biothane Tracking Line of 5 meters is the ideal choice. This long training line is specially designed for dog owners who want to safely work on reliable recall, tracking training, or learning off-leash walking.
With a length of 5 meters and a width of 13 mm, your dog gets all the space to sniff, explore, and move, while you always have the option to intervene when necessary.
The tracking line is made from Original Beta® BioThane®, a polyester webbing with a protective plastic coating, a material that combines the luxurious appearance of leather with the practical properties of modern plastic. It is completely waterproof, does not absorb odors, and remains flexible in almost all weather conditions. After a walk through the rain, mud, or on the beach, you can easily wipe the line clean, and it's ready for the next adventure.
What is a tracking line used for?
A tracking line is an indispensable tool during your dog's upbringing and training. It gives your dog the freedom to move at a distance, without the risk of being completely off-leash.
A tracking line is ideal for:
- Recall or command training.
- Puppies learning to walk off-leash.
- Young dogs that cannot yet be fully off-leash.
- Tracking training and nose work.
- Beach walks, forest walks, and large open areas.
- Dogs with a strong prey drive that need extra security.
Does your dog unexpectedly chase a rabbit, deer, or bird? You can easily step on the tracking line to safely slow your dog down. This way, you maintain control without having to pull in the line with your hands. That's why a tracking line is a favorite tool of many dog trainers.
Safely Designed for Training
Our tracking line features a solid brass ring instead of a fixed hand loop. This is a deliberate choice.
With traditional tracking lines, a hand loop can get snagged on branches, bushes, or tree roots while dragging. When a dog runs at speed, this can create dangerous situations.
By designing the line without a fixed hand loop, it glides much more easily over the ground and reduces the chance of it getting stuck somewhere.
Do you still want to hold the line comfortably for a moment? You can easily make a temporary hand loop yourself by passing the end of the Biothane through the brass ring. This way, you benefit from the advantages of both solutions.
High-Quality Biothane for Daily Use
We deliberately choose Biothane because it is made for real dog life.
The material is completely waterproof, does not absorb moisture or odors, and remains beautiful even after intensive use. Where a leather line can discolour or retain an unpleasant smell over time, you simply clean Biothane with a damp cloth.
Whether you walk through the forest daily, regularly go to the beach, or often walk in the rain; this tracking line will look well-maintained season after season.

Safety Advice
A tracking line is intended as a tool during training and walks where you supervise. Never leave a dog unsupervised with a tracking line and regularly check the line for wear or damage.
Materials + Care
Our products are made to last, and with a little care, they'll stay looking their best.
Biothane
Wipe off dirt with a damp cloth and mild soap. Air dry, out of direct sunlight and away from direct heat (such as stoves or heaters). Do not use a washing machine or harsh cleaning agents.
Paracord
Rinse with lukewarm water and let air dry. Avoid heat, tumble dryers, and cleaning agents. Regularly check for wear and tear to ensure your leash lasts a long time.
Hardware
Our gold-colored parts are made of brass and will develop a natural patina over time due to the copper in the product. This can be easily polished with a dry cloth.
The black coated parts are made of a strong zinc alloy. With intensive use, the coating may wear off slightly over time; this is normal and does not affect the strength.

Frequently Asked Questions.
Why a BioThane long line for your dog?
A tracking line gives your dog more freedom of movement while still keeping a line attached to the dog. This is useful during walks in nature, when practicing recall, or in places where you cannot let your dog run completely free.
Material is extra important for a tracking line. A line several meters long is guaranteed to come into contact with grass, sand, water, and mud. That's why we make our tracking line from Beta® BioThane®.
Is BioThane suitable for a long dog leash?
Absolutely. BioThane is waterproof, strong, and easy to clean.
The material absorbs very little moisture, so a wet or muddy tracking line can be easily rinsed off after use.
Odors also stick less easily to the material. Not an unnecessary luxury when meters of dog leash have just been dragged through a muddy forest path.
What do you use a long line for?
A tracking line can be used to give your dog more freedom during walks and training, while still allowing you to grab or step on the line when needed.
Especially in nature reserves, a long dog leash is a good compromise between walking on a short leash and being completely off-leash.
